Kelly A. Goodman, ACNP

Board Certified Adult & Acute Care Nurse Practitioner

Kelly Goodman is the owner and CEO of the Kelly Goodman Group and serves as its head nurse practitioner. Leading a team of 33 across three offices in Maryland, Kelly is dedicated to delivering compassionate, accessible care.

Originally from Hampton, Minnesota, Kelly earned her RN and BSN from The Catholic University of America and her MSN and Nurse Practitioner degree from Georgetown University. In 2009, Kelly founded Kelly Goodman NP and Associates, the first nurse practitioner–owned and operated medical practice in Maryland. Since then, the Kelly Goodman Group has treated over 51,000 patients, helping to fill a critical gap in the healthcare system by providing high-quality, easily accessible care.

Outside of work, Kelly is a proud mom of two boys, a devoted D.C. sports fan, and an avid traveler. Kelly’s dedication to her patients, her team, and her family reflects her unwavering commitment to making a meaningful impact, both within her community and across the broader healthcare landscape.

Sara Covall, FNP

Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner

Sara is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner with a master’s degree in Public Health Nursing Leadership from the University of Virginia. She brings over eight years of experience in family practice and a strong commitment to health promotion and individualized, patient-centered care.

Her background includes specialized nursing roles at INOVA Heart and Vascular Institute and oncology clinics, as well as global health work in South Africa and El Salvador. Sara is conversant in Spanish and welcomes all patients two years and older for sick visits, and five years and older for primary care.

Outside of work, Sara lives in Fairfax, VA with her husband, three children, and rescue lab, Sonny. She enjoys family time, beach trips, and cheering on the Hoos.

Terese Sybor, FNP

Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner 

Terese Sybor is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner licensed in Maryland and Virginia. She earned her BSN from The Catholic University of America in 2010 and her MSN from The George Washington University in 2017. Before becoming an FNP, Tere spent seven years at GW Hospital on the Neuroscience and Orthopedic Unit and later worked in primary care in Arlington, VA.

Tere is passionate about building strong, trusting relationships with patients and caring for entire families to support their overall well-being.

She lives in Crofton, MD with her husband, three children, and Golden Retriever, and enjoys family time, beach trips, and connecting with friends.

She welcomes all patients two years and older for sick visits, and five years and older for primary care.

Stephanie Shickner, FNP

Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner 

Stephanie Schickner is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner with a passion for preventive medicine and holistic care. She earned her BSN from James Madison University and began her nursing career at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital, specializing in neurological disorders, before joining the pediatric team at Inova Fairfax Children’s Hospital. Stephanie later completed her MSN at George Washington University.

She focuses on managing acute and chronic conditions while supporting mental health, women’s health, weight management, and overall wellness.

Stephanie lives in Virginia with her husband, son, and Golden Retriever, Callie. Outside of work, she enjoys traveling, cooking, Orange Theory, and spending time with family and friends.

Stephanie welcomes patients aged two years and older for sick visits, and five years and older for primary care services.

Provider - Rachel Jones, FNP

Rachel Jones, FNP

Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner 

Rachel Jones is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner with over 18 years of diverse nursing experience in acute care settings across major U.S. cities. She earned her BSN in 2007, a Master’s in Public Health Nursing in 2016, and completed her FNP certification at The Catholic University of America in 2021.

Rachel is also a Certified Menopause Provider through The North American Menopause Society, offering evidence-based, compassionate care for women navigating perimenopause and menopause. Her approach emphasizes education, wellness, and holistic, patient-centered care.

A former U.S. Navy Reserve Lieutenant, Rachel now lives in Bethesda with her husband, two children, and their pets. Outside the clinic, she enjoys cooking, travel, spin classes, volunteering with animal rescue groups, and long walks with her dogs.

Rachel welcomes patients ages 2 and older for sick visits, and patients 5 and older for primary care.

Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner 

Rebecca Wassel is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. She earned both her Bachelor and Master of Science in Nursing degrees from the University of Virginia, where she also served as a volunteer EMT with the local rescue squad.

Rebecca began her nursing career in Charleston, South Carolina, gaining experience in Labor & Delivery and Pediatrics before returning to UVA for graduate studies.

She enjoys spending her free time outdoors, especially on the water or hiking. Rebecca also enjoys traveling, photography, and is a devoted animal lover.

She welcomes all patients two years and older for sick visits, and five years and older for primary care.

Michelle Maddux, FNP, JD

Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner 

Michelle is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner credentialed by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. She earned both her BSN and MSN from The George Washington University and brings extensive experience from her five years at the NIH Hematology/Oncology Day Hospital and her role as a Research Nurse Specialist with the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute.

Nursing is Michelle’s second career, she also holds a Juris Doctor from The George Washington University Law School and maintains an active law license in Maryland.

Michelle lives in Washington, D.C. with her husband, four children, and two dogs. Outside of work, she enjoys family time, long walks, and listening to audiobooks and podcasts.

She welcomes all patients two years and older for sick visits, and five years and older for primary care.

Provider - Bethany Kim, FNP

Bethany Kim, FNP

Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner 

Bethany is a Family Nurse Practitioner and received her Doctor of Nursing Practice degree from the University of Arizona. Bethany grew up in New York, where she completed her Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing in 2018 and later earned her Master of Public Health. She worked as an emergency room nurse in both New York and Virginia for the majority of her career— caring for patients across the lifespan. Bethany also spent two years in Egypt both teaching at and serving as the director of a rural nursing school. She is passionate about health promotion and disease prevention, and she strives to provide excellent and culturally competent care.

Bethany now lives in Washington, DC with her husband. In her spare time, you can find her outside— hiking, biking, kayaking, or walking with friends. She’s always ready for an adventure, whether it be going to a new country or trying a new coffee shop.

Bethany welcomes all patients two years and older for sick visits, and five years and older for primary care.

Kathleen Meskill, FNP

Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner 

Kathleen Meskill is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Pittsburgh and her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Southern Indiana.

Kathleen began her nursing career in Pittsburgh, PA, on a cardiac step-down unit at UPMC. She then spent two years traveling as a registered nurse, gaining diverse clinical experience in Minneapolis, Richmond, Charlotte, and Los Angeles. Following her travels, she continued her nursing career in Washington, D.C. at Georgetown University Hospital, where she worked as an oncology infusion nurse.

Kathleen now lives in Falls Church, Virginia with her husband. Outside of work you can find her visiting the local farmer’s markets, attending a yoga class, trying new restaurants in the area with friends, or at home reading.

Kathleen welcomes all patients two years and older for sick visits, and five years and older for primary care.

Lindsay Coursen, RN

Board Certified Registered Nurse 

Lindsay Coursen is a board-certified Registered Nurse with a BSN from Marymount University and a BS in Psychology from James Madison University. Before joining the Kelly Goodman Group in 2021, Lindsay spent 13 years at Children’s National Hospital, serving as charge nurse in the Emergency Medicine and Trauma Center—the only Level 1 Pediatric Trauma Center in Washington, D.C.

While she loved the fast-paced environment of emergency medicine, Lindsay has developed a passion for primary care and the meaningful connections she builds with patients.

A McLean native, Lindsay now lives in Bethesda with her husband and two sons. Outside of work, she enjoys cheering on her boys in sports and spending summers in Chatham, MA and Muskoka, Canada.

Provider - Nicole Mann, RN

Nicole Mann, RN

Board Certified Registered Nurse 

Nicole received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Minor in Public Health from Marymount University in 2017. She began her nursing career at George Washington University Hospital on the Labor & Delivery unit, where she advanced from staff nurse to charge nurse and nursing clinical supervisor. With nearly eight years of experience in women’s health, Nicole spent the past three years at Sibley Memorial Hospital, continuing her dedication to supporting women through childbirth.

Now transitioning to a primary care setting, Nicole is excited to bring her passion for women’s health to a new role where she can make a lasting impact on patients’ lives.

Outside of work, Nicole enjoys attending shows and concerts, skiing in the winter, and relaxing by the ocean in the summer. Originally from Massachusetts, she now resides in Arlington, VA, with her boyfriend and two cats, Emma and Mila.

Provider - Nicole Sikora, RN

Nicole Sikora, RN

Board Certified Registered Nurse 

Nicole Sikora earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2016 and dedicated the first nine years of her career to Mercy Medical Center, where she worked on the telemetry unit. During this time, she gained extensive experience caring for patients with complex cardiac and medical needs, developing strong clinical skills and a deep commitment to patient safety and quality care.

While Nicole greatly valued her time in acute care, she is excited for a change of pace and the opportunity to build lasting relationships with her patients in a more personalized setting. She is passionate about delivering compassionate, individualized care and helping patients achieve their health and wellness goals through education and support.

Outside of work, Nicole enjoys spending time with her husband and two young boys. She loves being outdoors—whether playing with her family or relaxing on the water along Maryland’s Eastern Shore.
