Microneedling is a minimally-invasive procedure that uses a device with tiny, shallow needles that create hundreds of invisible and controlled puncture wounds on the top layer of the skin. (Don’t worry — you’ll be numbed!) These micro-wounds trigger the body to produce new collagen, elastin and capillaries, plumping skin and breaking up scar tissue.  A series of treatments will result in improved skin texture, firmness and hydration.

We combine microneedling treatments with platelet rich plasma (PRP) for the ultimate skin rejuvenation. By adding PRP microneedling you get better results and less downtime. Microneedling with PRP results in a 1,000% increase in collagen. Microneedling is a suitable treatment for every skin type and is safe for pregnant women (but always check with your OBGYN first). PRP speeds up your healing time and downtime lasts 24-72 hours.

Why Microneedling?

  • Improves appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, and laxity
  • Shrinks large pores
  • Helps fade pigmentation, acne scars, and superficial scars
  • Improves the appearance of cellulite and small stretch marks

Sublative Rejuvenation by Syneron Candela uses bipolar radiofrequency (RF) technology to reduce the appearance of wrinkles, scars, large, pores, skin laxity, and overall better texture and luminosity of the skin.  This innovative laser treatment is capable of restoring your skin’s natural beauty and glow in less than four to six weeks.   Sublative rejuvenation minimally affects the skin’s surface layer making it safe and effective for all skin types and colors.

In 3-5 customized treatments, sublative rejuvenation can provide effective anti-wrinkle treatment, acne scar treatment, and overall rejuvenation and toning of the skin requiring only once a year “maintenance” following the initial procedure.

What is Sublative Radiofrequency?

Using an ergonomic applicator, each pulse of the treatment delivers the radiofrequency energy via a grid of matrix spots, inducing a skin injury maximized in these tiny, targeted areas. This radiofrequency energy heats the skin layers enough to induce a healing response from the skin.  The tissue surrounding the treated areas that are not affected by the RF energy accelerates the wound healing response by increasing the production of collagen and elastin. Mild to moderate wrinkles, superficial skin discolorations, and skin lesions are reduced and skin texture becomes more smooth and elastic.

What can I expect during the treatment?

During your visit, your skin is cleansed first and a topical numbing is applied to minimize any discomfort. The laser handpiece is applied directly to the skin and you might feel a warm prickly sensation. After treatment, cooling gel will be applied to your skin.  Treatments can typically be performed in less than one hour.

What to expect after treatment?

Sublative rejuvenation offers significant results with little to no downtime.  Immediately after the treatment, a pink or red “sunburn” appearing and feeling is common.  In the first two days post-treatment, most patients report mild redness.  During the first two to five days post-treatment, many patients also report mild dryness and flaking as the older layers of skin exfoliate.  We recommend using a gentle facial cleanser, moisturizer, and SPF 30 or greater at all times throughout the treatment course.

How many treatments will I need?

The number of treatments varies depending on the treatment indication and severity. We recommend a minimum of 3 treatments, although more treatments might be required. Treatments should be spaced 4-6 weeks apart.  Patients will begin to see results after the first treatment and will continue to see improvement up to one-year post-treatment.

Sublime skin tightening is a non-invasive procedure used to tighten the skin and reduce wrinkles. Sublime employs bipolar radio frequency and infrared technology to heat the dermis and stimulate collagen production, resulting in a ore refreshed and youthful appearance. We recommend a series of three treatments. There is no downtime with this procedure.

PRP, or platelet-rich plasma, involves the use of platelets taken from your own blood and incorporated into microneedling, facial and/or scalp injections. We offer PRP injections for hair restoration and tear trough rejuvenation. There is no downtime but bruising can occur.

Platelets have beneficial properties and growth factors that stimulate collagen formation and accelerate healing. Once injected into the skin or applied topically to the skin, PRP stimulates new collagen production, reduces wrinkles, and diminishes the visible signs of aging by growing new healthy tissue.  Post-procedure use of PRP with microneedling treatments decreases healing time and produces additional overall benefits.

The most common reason for hair loss, affecting over 80 million men and women in the US, is familial or male/female pattern hair loss (alopecia).  Both prescription topical and oral medications have been shown to help male/female pattern hair loss, especially when combined with platelet-rich plasma.  PRP is rich in growth factors and when injected in the scalp at the level of the hair follicle, these growth factors may reinvigorate dormant hair follicles, stimulating new hair growth. We offer PRP injections for hair loss for appropriate candidates.
